Works on Kitchen Tile
I got this mat to keep my two small dogs warm while staying with my in-laws in northern Utah. We set up a little place for them in the doorway between the kitchen and office with cables, blankets, and dog beds. We cable the dogs when leaving the house without them, but set up their place away from carpet in case of the rare accident. Because their place is on kitchen tile, it is difficult to stay warm even with the dog beds and blankets. I put a bathroom mat underneath the dog beds before this heating pad arrived, which helped some, but the heating pad made a huge difference.I put the heating pad directly on the tile overlapping an edge of the bath mat and underneath the dog beds. I started it at the base setting (3) and let it warm up for about 30 minutes then tested it with my hand. The part of the heating pad that stuck out from underneath the dog bed didn’t feel warm at all, but the section that overlapped with the bath mat was pleasantly warm. Similarly, when I reached into the bottom of the dog bed, it was warmed. This leads me to think that when placed on tile, the heating pad does better with a blanket or dog bed on top that it transfers the heat to, otherwise the heat is lost into the tile. If it is placed on top of carpet or a mat, then it has an easier time warming up.Anyway, my dogs loved it. My Jack Russel mix is very temperature sensitive and struggles with epilepsy. This kept him warm, comfortable, happy, and safe. He preferred to hang out in this little setup instead of with us in the living room.Haven’t tried washing it yet, but the cover looks easy enough to remove for the wash. Noise wasn’t an issue. No weird smell. Their water bowl spilled once, and it didn’t react negatively. I really liked the 6 settings and variety of timers. Great product.

My cat won’t get off this thing
My cat absolutely loves this heating pad, as soon as I plugged it in, he laid down and basically hasn’t left it since. The adjustable temperature is nice, and level 1–3 is the sweet spot for him. Anything above level 3 runs a bit too hot in my opinion, but the lower settings are perfect and keep him warm without overheating. The pad itself feels durable, and the cover is soft enough that he got comfortable right away. If your pet likes warmth, this is an instant favorite.

Reviews on this seem to be mixed, but all I can do is be honest and say so far this has been great for me. My cat was the runt of the litter and has always been thin and bony – no matter how much I feed her – so she definitely feels the winter cold more then most and this seemed like a good solution. The heating pad is a great size for a cat or small dog, and the cord is securely encased to prevent chewing. You can set it to 2,4,8,12, or 24 hours on with six different temperature levelsPlenty of people seem to complain it doesn’t get warm enough but I’ve seen no evidence of that. I find power level 4 with a towel thrown on top of the pad to be perfect. This isn’t like a regular heating pad where you’d want to feel the heat – it’s made for pets and so emanates heat a little differently. Love being able to set it for 12 hours and not worry about my cat getting cold at night.The only concern I have is a lot of reviews state after a couple of months their heating pads suddenly stop working. I’ve been using this daily since early January and here in mid March I’m hoping mine will be the exception and not break – if something happens I will update this review, At this time however, I’m very happy with this purchase!

Bought 2 and both stopped working less than 2 months of use
***UPDATE11/8/23: Less than 4 weeks of use and the heating pad has started giving the “ERR” message and shutting off. I contacted seller and asked to help troubleshoot, nothing can be done to fix however seller was very responsive and offered to send a replacement.***I decided to buy another unit since my cats loved the first one so much. Bought 2nd unit end of Nov and by mid Jan it also stopped working with same “ERR” message. Returned and will not purchase again. My cats are sad :(I live in Colorado. Winters can be brutal. I figured I’d buy a pet heating pad for my “old man” 12 y/o orange tabby cat who lives for the summertime (same). He’s got 17lbs of “insulation” on him but can’t wait to lay outside in the sun on a 90 degree day.To my surprise when I opened this up it was my skinny 8lb lap-loving 5 y/o boy who laid claim to it and big-chonker wanted nothing to do with it.Fast-forward a week and these two (who have never been close) are playing battle Royale to see who gets to lie on the heating pad. You probably see in the picture large tufts of hair strewn about.Fast forward another week or two and they have finally decided it’s OK to share the heating pad. It’s only taken 5 whole years for them to agree on anything let alone share personal space. Brings a tear to my eye. This might be the thing that makes them finally accept each other as brothers.Besides bringing pet families together my thoughts on the product…Initially I put it on heat setting 3 which didn’t feel very warm to me. I kicked it up to the highest setting, 6, and still doesn’t feel very toasty to the touch (it’s supposed to be 113 degrees). I was considering returning it and just using a regular human heating pad but as you can see from the picture it will be impossible to remove this from my cats’ life. They nap on it every day and sometimes sleep on it overnight, eschewing a warm bed with the humans upstairs. So on the plus side I don’t need to worry about it being too hot to harm them. The cover it came with is lovely and soft and the cats love it but I’m a clean freak and decided to cover it in a separate blanket that I can wash more frequently. I like that the cord is wrapped for safety so biters can’t chew through it. The timer has incremental settings 2hrs to 24hrs and it counts down what’s left so you know when you need to reset it. My boys are spoiled so it’s been on 24-7 since they started using it. It’s a keeper! Highly recommend.

Die Kaninchen lieben diese Matte! Sie ist schön flauschig, das Kabel ist ordentlich verarbeitet und geschützt. Die Decke zieht im Betrieb ca. 40 Watt und hat ein Thermostat, das bei erreichter Temperatur abschaltet. Auch bei eisigen Temperaturen unter Null wird die Oberfläche lauwarm, das reicht den Hopplern mit ihrem Winterfell allemal aus und richtig heiß wie eine Heizdecke für Menschen dürfte es m.M. auch gar nicht sein. Alles top, wir und unsere Kaninchen sind zufrieden.

Onze kat op leeftijd kreeg last van stijve gewrichten. Voor haar comfort zochten we een warmtemat zonder timer (zodat de mat ook warm bleef als we aan het werk waren). Ondanks dat deze mat het label ‘outdoor’ heeft, werkt de mat perfect. De kat ligt er graag op, soms uren aaneen. We zouden deze mat met een gerust hart weer kopen.

I like how warm it gets when someone lies down on it. I like that the soft cover creates enough pressure for a little heat, at least on the highest setting (I love that there are so many settings for heat and time, though I never need a timer). The soft cover actually blocks almost as much heat as it stirs up, so, even on the highest setting, it warms up only after being stepped onto by the pet. It helps fully dry towel dried pet fur and makes a warm bed for colder winter nights. I would rather it were softer and more flexible, so it could compliment the top of an extra soft cushion. The green lit indicator dots are a minor extra I can’t help liking, especially for setting the temperature at night. It would be nice to have a summer also version of this mat, that could plug in and be set to various cooling levels, if that could be a thing.
