I have been using these filters for years. I have a cat dog and two kids and I have allergies, these definitely help and we run all day everyday

My child has brain cancer.
I depend on this to keep my 13 year olds room fresh. We moved to a new home and though beautiful there was a smell from his boxes from the last home. Just the lingering smell that attaches itself to stuffed animals and toys. We moved somewhere where the air would be fresh so he can stay healthy. Completely redone remodeled brand new everything literally. I plugged this in and let it run for about 12 hours and his room smelled amazing. I would pay $100 for this but please don’t raise the price to that because I really depend on these with the fixed income. In a normal home where a child doesn’t have cancer you could probably vacuum the front of this a few times and extend use for about a year. I replace it every 2 to 3 months. If you have a home with central air that’s blowing everything around constantly it would probably be more than that. The home we were renting was 70 years old and it seems like dust would form on things in a day. It’s been 4 weeks in the new home and still no dust lol. Please take care of yourselves.

We’ve been plagued with wildfire smoke of late, and I got this unit after trying a few generics (which I had to return as they wouldn’t fit). The difference with this filter is absolutely awesome, and I would strongly recommend it. It easily absorbs smells from cooking and the difference is immediately noticeable. I’ll definitely buy again.

I bought the GermGuardian Air Purifier in anticipation of adopting a cat. I have it running on low all day, every day – so I’ve had to change the filter sooner than the estimated 6 months. In my case, I usually have to change it after 4 or 5 months and I’ve been using the GermGuardian for 2 years now. My husband and I have allergies to dust and dander, so this filter has helped tremendously in keeping that under control. I also love to cook, so when I’m making a particularly aromatic dish, I turn my air purifier on the highest setting while cracking the window open slightly.Yes, the replacement filters are expensive, but it’s a small price to pay for cleaner, fresher smelling air. The difference in air quality is noticeable when you contrast the moment the ‘change the filter’ indicator comes on, to the hour after replacing it with a new one. To put it into perspective as to how many impurities have been captured by the filter, have a look at the comparison photo of an old vs new filter (the old, dirty filter is bagged in plastic as to not allow the dust to escape). It’s alarming to know what we would be breathing in without the use of this air purifier filter.

It seems to be doing the job but it is for sure thinner than the one that the device came in with! when you pay 40 box for a hepa filter which is basically bunch of dense papers you would expect a higher quality product.
