Works like a charm
best training tool I have ever purchased for my dog. I have purchased several batteries operated training collars and restraining collar for my super Beagle, who was used to a fenced in huge backyard. She is too shy to work with the batterie operated training collars and refuse to walk and afraid of many restraining collars, but this one is perfect. She walks with me rather than pulling. I am completely happy. Quality is excellent, and it’s easy to adjust. I highly recommend it.

Great for certain breeds alongside proper training and communication
I am genuinely very satisfied with this purchase. Before buying this collar, I was using a gentle leader with my 2-year-old Texas Heeler. He would paw at it constantly, trying to take it off every few minutes during walks, and he could still manage to drag me around. I started looking for a better solution and debated between a martingale collar and this prong collar. With my Texas Heeler’s working-dog drive and relentless stubbornness, I figured this would be the better choice—while the martingale seemed more suited for gentler breeds.Well, this collar feels like a miracle. The difference is night and day. We’ve had it for a week now, and walks are about 95% more manageable. No more pawing at the leader, either.I know some people find prong collars controversial or too harsh, but with proper training and clear communication with your dog, it can be an excellent tool. My dog doesn’t associate the collar with anything negative—he’s still ecstatic to put it on for a walk. I even tried it on myself to make sure I wouldn’t be applying anything cruel or inhumane to my baby boy, and it’s definitely neither, especially with the rubber prong covers. There’s a mild pinch and poke when pulling, but nothing scary.I bought the medium size. His neck measures 18″ at the base and 16″ at the top. The collar came with an extra link, but I removed two, so now I have three spare links on hand in case any need replacing.Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it for strong, driven working dogs—paired with proper training and communication.

Clasp was impossible to open without pliers at first
I almost sent this collar back because the clasp was so tight I couldn’t open it without pliers. I kept working the clasp tabs with the pliers until they flexed enough that I was able to open the clasp with just my fingers. It’s still stiff, but do-able. I realize the manufacturer had to find a balance between a clasp that would stay shut when the dog pulled and one that was easy for the owner to open. But this was too much. Like I said, I almost returned it, and I imagine some other buyers might have done just that. Other than that, it’s a great collar. My dog is easier to handle and doesn’t pull as much. I really like the idea of a clasp collar instead of one you have to pull over the dog’s head. This was the reason I bought this collar in the first place.

this works well
I have a 50 pound pocket bully an she can pull me no prob, I’m 280. I get this item to stop the pulling on walks. let me tell you the first walk made a big improvement!!! can’t wait to see what a week will do for us. my arm is already happy.

Helps with pulling
I was very hesitant for getting this prong for my beagle. However since he pulls a lot during walks and others have recommended a prong collar we gave it a try. My beagle does not pull as much during walks and it does not choke him either, the other slip in leash he had prior seemed to be choking him more as he pulled. I definitely recommend, our dog still looks forward to walk time.

Does not work on doberman
Not effective with my Doberman. The lack of chain (it uses black fabric with fastener to connect it) makes it unable to correct by tightening. The prongs being covered makes it to gentle. I was hopeful but Springer is the way to go. Three stars because it’s clearly high quality with safety in mind. The safety just outweighed the purpose for us
