The pet tracker measures 2.68 inches long and 1.49 inches wide, and it fits collars up to 1.18 inches wide. To see if it works for your pet, try measuring 2.68 inches on their collar. For comfort, we suggest using it with pets that weigh over 5 lbs.
What’s the difference between the QR tag and the tracker?
The QR tag works as a pet ID tag — it stores pet’s info, and anyone who finds your pet can scan it to call you. The tracker device connects to Apple devices Find My for real-time tracking .
How does the location tracking work?

Great Value!
I ordered this to compare it against the GPS tracker I am using on a different cat. It is working great. The tracker and holder are a little large for a cat/collar, but surprisingly, it has not bothered him at all. He has been wearing this for over a month with no problems or complaints.It was easy to install. Scan the code, open FindMy and put the collar on.Having used regular AirTags in the past, I am happy that you can change the battery on this tracker.I do have a GPS for my other wandering cat but that one requires a monthly fee and you do have to remove it weekly to charge the battery.And as all AirTags I have used in the past, it is just not as precise in location as the GPS. You can play the sound on the collar to pinpoint the tag, but it is a small beep, beep and you have to be very close (within 3-6 feet) depending on background noise.However, between a regular air tag and this Pet Tracker – I definitely recommend this one!!For a one time cost, with a replaceable battery, this is a great value!I give it five stars because I would purchase this again.

Good for what it is, and reasonably priced alternative to expensive trackers
I picked up this tracker for my dog after getting tired of those monthly subscription GPS trackers that nickel and dime you to death. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it, though there are a few things worth knowing upfront.The biggest selling point here is no monthly fees. It uses Apple’s Find My network instead of cellular GPS, which means it piggybacks off nearby iPhones to update your pet’s location. This works surprisingly well in urban and suburban areas where there are plenty of Apple devices around. If you live somewhere more rural or remote, the tracking might be spottier since it depends on other people’s phones being nearby.The QR tag feature is actually really clever and something I didn’t expect to appreciate as much as I do. Even if the tracker loses connection or the battery dies, anyone who finds your pet can scan the QR code and contact you directly without needing the app. You get a location ping when someone scans it, which is a nice backup layer of protection that regular trackers don’t offer.Battery life is excellent. They claim up to a year, and while I haven’t had it that long yet, I can believe it based on how little power it seems to use. The fact that you just replace the battery instead of constantly charging it is convenient, especially if you forget to plug things in like I do.Setup was straightforward on my iPhone. It integrated with the Find My app without any issues, and the holder clips securely onto my dog’s collar. It’s lightweight enough that my 35-pound dog doesn’t even notice it’s there. The silicone holder is durable and washable, which matters when you’re dealing with a dog who loves mud puddles.The reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that it’s iOS only, which limits who can use it. Also, the real-time tracking relies on the Find My network, so it’s not true GPS. For most everyday situations like your dog slipping out the backyard or getting loose at the park, it works great. But if you need strong tracking in remote areas, you’d want a dedicated cellular GPS tracker.

Fits alright on my cat’s collar, helps me keep track of him
I have an indoor cat, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t gotten out of the house accidentally before. I used to have to wait on him to get hungry or want to come in out of the weather, but with this I can keep much better track of him. This includes pinging the little tracking chip to make a noise so I can tell if he’s hiding by the door to sneak out while I step onto the porch to grab a package.This is super easy to use and it apparently isn’t making my cat uncomfortable at all. About thirty bones is a decent price, too, for something that’s functionally identical to an air tag with the holder. It’s durable enough that it’s been holding up to my cat’s daily use without any signs of wear so far. Regarding the features and functionality, I don’t feel any particular need to use the proprietary app when the same Find My app everyone with an iOS device has does everything I need it to. Overall, I’m happy with this product.

Not For Very Rural Areas
I am not as impressed with this as I hoped. I thought it was like an air tag, but it seems to rely on surrounding Apple devices to fix the location, which makes it less than ideally functional for me. I live out in the woods and have a Boston Terrier that dashes out the front door whenever she gets a chance. There are coyotes around here, and I need to be able to track her fast and accurately. Without being in a suburban area with lots of Apple users, this just doesn’t seem to be that accurate, and it isn’t trackable enough, quickly enough for my liking.It is easy to set up, small enough to fit on any dog or cat collar, and the QR code is great if your lost pet is found by a tech savvy person who can scan the QR code and navigate the internet well enough to locate the owner’s info and contact them.I think I would use this in addition to a standard ID tag. For my purposes, I will wait for the 2.0 version to come out. Recommended only for urban and suburban pet owners.

Love This!
So my dog is a runner, and it’s frustrating. So, when I saw this, I jumped at the chance to try it. Setup was extremely easy with the instructions. This uses the “find my” app on iphone which I personally had never used before but now will be using if my dog ever gets out. As soon as this was set up, I could see my dog’s location even in the house with me. This thing severely reduces my anxiety about her getting out. She actually escaped on Christmas day once, and I spent over an hour wandering the neighborhood looking for her. The whole time I kept thinking about how I was missing family time and festivities because I was looking for the dog. This takes that away because now I will know right where she is. I kind of want to let her get out just to test this, lol. I love this thing!
