Good non-light heat admitter
I purchased these bulbs to use in reptile enclosures as controlled heating devices, and they’ve worked very well for my needs. I’ve bought them multiple times over the past couple of years, and they consistently perform as expected. They’re a great option if you’re looking for a no-light heat source and want to avoid using infrared bulbs.The bulbs do get very hot when not on a regulator, but I’ve never experienced issues with them overheating the lamp itself. Great Reptile Heat Lamps. Love The Color Of These
One of the biggest advantages is that many ceramic heat lamps emit heat without light. That means you can keep the lamp on at night (for reptiles that need warmth 24/7 or during cooler hours) without messing with their sleep or day/night cycles. I love how these are black colored heat lamps, they will look great in the tank, they fit into a normal style light socket. The quality is great and they look to be as if the lifespan of these will out do most pet store bought lamps. My old lamps quit within 2 months the Lifespan of these will be a lot better.

I’ve only just started using this heat element but it’s doing its job so far! It puts out ample heat for sure! It’s straight forward & simple, same as screwing in a light bulb! And if I can get 6 months out of each element then they’re definitely worth the money! If something happens to soon, or something out of the ordinary happens I will update my review! Functionality as well and as far as durability I cannot say I am not willing to test that. From what I can see they are built pretty sturdy though.

Bought for my chicken coop- not to provide amazing amounts of heat just to take the edge off for my girls in the middle of the frozen night. It’s been on every night now for the most part for about a month, I use it in a ceramic base as you should, I also dusted it off every now and again because bird dander is highly flammable (In fact, I think that’s why a lot of chicken heat lamps wind up causing fires; people don’t understand that that dust from your chicken feathers is like kindling). These are a much safer option. Great price especially for two.I can’t tell you exactly how hot they get and I should go into my coop with the thermometer in the middle of the night, but I can feel it when I’m in there and it’s just enough mild warmth to make their small space slightly warmer.

Purchased this to replace the night heat lamp for our beardie. Hoping this is more energy efficient.The bulbs arrived nicely packaged with foam for protection. They measure about 3″ in diameter and about 4″ long. Tried both bulbs out since some reported damage upon arrival and both worked great.Measured the temperature and showed in the 400F range on the surface.
