Great for our leopard gecko
This heat lamp works very well! It generates heat that our leopard gecko seems to love! He likes to sit under it. It is great that the brightness can be adjusted. I LOVE the timer function. I was tired of turning our old one on every morning and off every night. This is so much better! It is well made from sturdy materials. The clamp is very strong and doesn’t move after you put it in place. Excellent price for a high quality heat lamp.

Exceeded expectations.
I needed to set up a habitat for my baby box turtle and thought I’d get an inexpensive lamp and see how it worked out. I figured I would need to upgrade in the future, but I’ve been using this lamp for several weeks and I’m happy with it. I was concerned about quality and stability because I didn’t know if my cats would mess with it (they haven’t), so it’s working out great. It’s well made, the clamp is really solid and the dimmer feature works perfectly. I use the 50w bulb, but it also comes with a 25w bulb. I am currently using a plastic tub with a wooden box enclosing it (approx 1 ft w 2 ft w 11½” tall) and the 50w gets the basking area to about 82°. The flexible gooseneck makes it really easy to adjust the height of the bulb to get the desired temp and direct the light. I’m a novice at this, but I would recommend this lamp especially if you’re just starting out.

it’s good
i got this lamp for my leopard gecko to add more heat + uvb to help mimic sunlight. kind of difficult to set it up somewhere on the terrarium as the clamp is like really large and doesn’t open wide. i use a mesh screen on top and this clamp doesn’t fit in between so i awkwardly angle it. it provides incredible heat and light and i love that it’s adjustable! you would need to create a whole thing to set it up on so that it’s able to sit above your tank correctly. i am just going to be buying some other stuff to help with that + a heating mat. really just need it for uvb. comes with 2 bulbs that are in perfect working condition. it’s a little expensive for the size and durability of it i would say about 12$-15$ would be more accurate.

As a turtle owner, I love this light for having 4 adjustable light brightness, it’s not too big nor small, comes with two bulbs and at the lowest brightness, it can heat up pretty quickly. It also has a 2hr, 4hr and 8hr timer for when you would want it to turn off. Also, it’s a really adjustable and flexible. It can be places anywhere by clipping it or screwing it in. It performs really well.Versatility 👍🏼

DO NOT BUYIve tried two of these. Returned the first cause it died. Got the new one and again after 3 months it died. Nothing wrong with the bulbs. The switch keeps frying.

Great for our turtle tank!
We have 3 painted turtles in a small tank. I read they need UV light for health, so I bought this light. We put it on a timer for 4 hours a day, and the turtles gather immediately under the light each day when it comes on. They are happy and healthy and we don’t have to pay attention the light as it is automatic! Very easy to use!
