PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK IF YOU HAVE A COMPATIBLE DEVICE! When I first purchased this item I overlooked that it is only compatible with IOS systems. Which I do not own.I can say that the item does fit securely on my dog’s collar and it is sturdy. It is super lightweight and my dog doesnt even seem to notice it. It looks to be waterproof. So if you are looking for a lightweight yet durable tracker that isnt obvious, this is the item to go with.

Not for Android (dog tracker)
It’s my fault for not paying attention to the dog tracker being iOS only. That alone will limit availability. So I borrowed my brother-in-law’s iPad to test it out.The app was user-friendly, making it easy to set up. The cute football-shaped tracker is waterproof, which is a plus where we live since it rains a lot. Also, the round battery is very common, so it’s not an issue replacing it (CR2023)I did notice that it’s more for short-range than long-range, tho. So that might be an issue for some whose dogs run free.

Decent Tracker, But Size and Compatibility Issues
The QDAN Dog Tracker is an interesting concept, and the GPS tracking works fairly well. I like that it doesn’t require monthly fees, and the waterproof design is a nice feature for pets who like to get wet. However, there are a few significant drawbacks that potential buyers should know before purchasing.The biggest issue is the size. This tracker is way too large and bulky for small dogs like a pug, and it’s definitely not suitable for cats at all. While it claims to be “adjustable,” it’s really just one large size, and it sits awkwardly on smaller pets. I wish they offered multiple sizes or a more compact option so it could actually fit a range of animals comfortably.Another limitation is the compatibility—it only works with iOS devices. Android users are completely out of luck, which is frustrating, especially for a pet tracker that many people assume would work universally.Overall, the tracker itself functions as advertised, and it could work well for larger dogs, but the size and limited compatibility really restrict who can use it. If you have a small pet or an Android phone, this is probably not the right choice. It’s a solid idea and well-made product, but it could benefit from more thoughtful sizing and broader device support.

Works seamlessly with ‘Find My’ on the Apple iPhone! AirTags can get pricey when you need to buy multiple and aren’t always accurate. This one is great and isn’t obvious that it’s tracker. Incredibly accurate tracking and the collar is very high quality which I was not expecting since I mainly bought it for the tracker part. Would recommend!

Great for the price easy to change battery.
The tracker has good capability and the app is easy to use. The battery life is average or slightly above compared to some other tracking devices however it is not rechargeable which is a minus. The IOS only compatibility makes it a little less versatile than some of the others. For the price, it is a very good tracker..

Battery disappointing
Edit: Changed to 2 stars, after 1 month I got an alert that the battery needed to be changed, far less battery life than advertised.This is essentially an off brand AirTag. My fiancee and I are both football fans, so he has a collar for each of our teams. When I saw this tag, I knew I needed to get it to sport with the collars. Set up was super easy with the directions provided. You simply press a button on the tag and then add it to your “Find my” on iPhone. It functions exactly like the air tag on our other collars. The key ring that connects it is pretty weak, and with how small the opening is on the tag itself, I’m not sure how you could really put something more sturdy in there to prevent it from eventually falling off. The battery life is good for a year (will have to wait and see) but the battery replacement seems like a quick an easy undertaking. If it had a more sturdy way to connect to the collar, this would be a 5 star purchase.

Good as a tag, limited as a pet locator
This tracker is compact, lightweight, and paired quickly with Apple’s Find My app on my iPad. The sound function worked as expected, and the battery design (CR2032 coin cell) is convenient since it can be replaced without special tools. The waterproof casing and small size make it easy to attach to a pet’s collar without adding weight.That said, it’s important to know this is not a true GPS tracker. It does not use satellites or a cellular network. Instead, it connects via Bluetooth and updates location only when near your device or another Apple device on the Find My network. In a neighborhood full of iPhone users, that may work well enough; in rural or less populated areas, it will be limited.Overall, it functions fine as a basic Bluetooth tag for Apple users, but if you need real-time, wide-area tracking, you’ll want a different solution.

Useful for more than just dogs
It didn’t last long on my dog’s collar due to having several dogs who do a lot of rough-housing with each other…. I found it in the yard, not destroyed but no longer attached to the collar. Not a flaw of the product, my dogs are just too rough. I’m going to attach it to my husband’s key ring since he is constantly misplacing his keys. Will do great as a generic air pod.
