Long lasting and great fun! Cats love!
Cats love it! Perfect size to sit safely on a shelf and the white color blends in with our walls nicely, would never know it’s there until you turn it on.I’ve had this product for over a year and it’s still working great!Funny story, we adopted a third cat and this toy helped us figure out that she was blind as she would run around with the others, but would never seem to see the dot. Turns out she has disconnected retinas and the vet said it was probably a birth defect.She’s adorable and amazing and you would never know because she’s so well adjusted! She literally does this quick double-tap on the floor where she’s about to step, too fast for you to notice unless looking for it.

This is hands down the most favorite cat toy we’ve ever had. Every morning, my cats wait at their cat tree for me to turn on this laser gizmo. They get their morning zoomies out while I make their breakfast.There are three modes. Motion sensor which turns on when motion is detected. A 12 hour timer that comes on for ten minutes every hour. Handheld play mode. We use the 12 hour setting most often. I love that the cats get the play time even when I’m away from home.There are similar toys out there. This is the only one I found with a totally random laser path. It goes skwirly and keeps the cats moving.The clamp base is good and sturdy. I have ours clamped to the cat tree. The unit can rotate and swivel to point it however you like.It is very quiet. I can only hear the motor if the house is completely silent. The cats can hear it from another room however. They come running.One of my favorite things is to wake up in the middle of the night and hear scurrying from the next room as they chase that red dot. They no longer try to wake me for attention. That’s a bonus.I did have reason to contact customer service. Potaroma customer service is excellent.Buy this awesome toy!

Not bad
This thing has a mind of its own. The battery life is awful so I keep it plugged in, which isn’t a huge deal. The mounting system is wonderful! You can literally put this thing anywhere! When this thing is on, my cats love it! It does a great job at being random and has a large coverage area.My only real issue besides the battery life, is the settings are unreliable. If I keep it on motion sensing mode it seems to never turn off. Even if all the cats are napping in the other room. On timer mode it seems to never turn on, and I haven’t used it on handheld mode.So, I just turn it on and off instead of relying on any kind of automated mode. Overall still a great purchase!

Great design and functionality!
This is a great cat toy! I’ve had this for a few months now and can say I am very happy with the purchase. At first I was concerned that the laser might hurt my cat’s eyes so I attached the base to a bookcase about 5’ from the floor so the laser is angled downward onto the floor. But the cats don’t stare into the laser and we use it only when the lights are on or it is daylight outside. The laser-head twists off very easily from the base to recharge. The laser-head can be adjusted easily and widely to aim in the most optimal position. The laser moves around in a way that is very engaging for the cats. I also like how it shuts off after no movement from the cats for a while, then comes back on when motion is detected. My cats look forward to playing with it every morning after they eat and also after dinner. I wouldn’t recommend leaving it on all the time because they start to ignore it. It’s great for when they want to play and you want to sit on the couch.The battery lasts a long time. A really great cat toy! Very well made!

Great Upgrade From the Original!!
I have the original model, & ended purchasing this because of the ability to rotate the head — PLUS, I really like the motion activated sensor. I kind of wish the range of the laser was adjustable – I mounted it on top of my door to my bedroom (fairly large sized) but it will hit on the walls/dresser of my room. It is random & doesn’t stay in an area too long so it’s not a real issue. (The laser will travel randomly within one area before moving to a different area where it will shine in that area, & so on.)I’ve had others that aren’t & my cats tired of them way too quickly. So being able to turn it on every so often is great bc they will still chase it.It hold a charge well. Sometimes, if im going out & I’ve already known I’ve used it for a couple of the 12 hour periods, I’ll charge it up for about15-30 minutes just to make sure it’ll stay on while I’m out & it does- so I think it holds a charge well/ charges pretty fast.All in all it’s a great upgrade from the previous version, bc of it’s ability to swivel 360° along w/ the additional motion sensor function.It would be cool if in the future they added a feature to accommodate different space size/range in which the laser travels (for example if you want the laser to work on the floor of a long skinny space or a short wide space, etc)

Nice idea, bad pattern..
I wanted to wait to write my review after having this for a few weeks. My cat had a litter of kittens so I wanted something to keep them busy. When I first got it I charged it and turned it on, my first thought was that whoever designed the pattern doesn’t know much about how cats play. None my cats seem to be interested in it with it on automatic mode. It’s great on handheld mode, the laser is very bright, but defeats the purpose. It is very quiet and lasts pretty long on a charge.If it had different patterns or even the ability to record your own, this thing would be a gold mine. I did accidently drop it once and it didn’t affect it at all, so it must be made well. The design is awesome because the head doesn’t move, it works off mirrors, but the pattern itself is just wrong, wish it couldn’t be adjusted.
