Amazing! Stays in place, my furbuddy doesn’t chew or bite at it, and it doesn’t irritate his sensitive skin! Total win!!
What a great concept, and better yet, what a great product! I was entirely skeptical that this would work with my little persistent fur buddy – he has an allergy to grass (yeah, in Darwin’s world he wouldn’t last a hot minute but we’re pretty fond of him). Anyway, every year our little fur monster proceeds to chew every single hair off of all four paws and we have tried EVERYTHING to find some relief for him. From steroids to homeopathic remedies to begging and bribing him to please, for the love of everything, quit chewing. A week or two ago these no-chew bandages came up on my Amazon page as one of those “frequently bought together” things when I was searching for a medical cone collar (like I said, we were at wit’s end). I ended up ordering these, some wound ointment, and a soft medical collar. For the first few days I wrapped his little paws and put the new collar on him. If you’ve ever seen a sad Bichon you’ll understand completely why I ended up taking the collar off (it was effective and perfect but it made his little eyes sooooooo sad when he had to wear it and I’m a total sucker for sad puppy eyes, go figure). It turns out that I didn’t need the collar at all – he never once (that I saw) chewed on the bandages! They stay in place perfectly and the bandage affixes to itself so you don’t need tape or clips. The best part (besides the fact that the bandages work) is that it doesn’t stick to his fur so when I need to change the bandage it doesn’t tug on the hair that is growing back in!. I did “taste” the bandages (don’t judge, it was before I put it on my buddy) and good heavens it was awful but there is no smell and no irritation to his insanely sensitive skin. Love this product, love the generous amount of product that I received, and I especially love how much this is helping my little guy to heal!

Cords number one weakness, cats.
A little while after my cats turned a year old they suddenly devolved a hunger for the electronic cable. Phone chargers, controller cables, or basically anything thin that they could easily chew through. I have no idea what the attraction was and I tried every solution I could think of and about 9 iPhone chargers later I was at the end of my wits! Then one day I was walking through the pet store and I saw a little dusty package on the bottle shelf called “bitter tape” it was the only one there and I had no idea how long the thing sat there but figure why not. I got home wrapped my phone cable up in it and 6 months later that bad boy is still in one piece!Needless to say I needed more of this miracle tape! The pet store I got it from had no clue what I was talking about when I went back and when I went scavenging other local areas I was able to get about 2 more rolls (not nearly enough to survive the catpocalypse in front of me) it did take a couple months for it to occure to me “hey Amazon has everything”.That’s when I found and ordered this tape. This specific brand has a much heavier scent than the previous brands that I have tried but seems just effective while wrapping (once it’s been applied and out of your hands you don’t really notice the smell anymore).I was a little let down by the over all size of the roll, while it was a bit wider than the rolls I got from local pet stores it was nearly as long and cost as much or more and ended up covering about the same amount of cabling. So over all of you have chewing cats (or other pets) that seem to enjoy eating your electronic cabling this does seem to be the best deterrent I have ever tried so it’s defiently worth trying to throw a couple bucks at a roll of tape and see how it works for you. The product is cheap enough that you aren’t going to be out much if it ends up not working up, but I’m pretty confident you’ll have success with most animals.

Did not stop my cat
This bandage did NOT deter my cat from licking it off. If there is a bad taste, it didn’t bother her. She was able to remove from her leg and lick the spot within a few minutes. We tried several different ways to put it on her, but nothing stopped her. I hadn’t noticed, but this item is NON-RETURNABLE!! Why???????

Saves my dog from the cone of shame
My morkie chews his paw, and recently I’ve been trying to stop it. I tried every anti itch product available, but it seems to be more of an OCD behavior (he obsessively licks other things too, but more than one vet has given him a clean bill of health). I’ve tried socks and booties, but they came off pretty quickly. I’ve tried anti chew sprays but they didn’t help much. I thought I’d have to keep him in a cone on and off for the rest of his life until I found this tape. If I wrap high enough up his paw, and with just the right amount of tape, it stays through walks, playing, and whatever else he puts it through. I can leave it on as long as I’d like, but it does get dirty. Four stars because for the price, you don’t get much tape (maybe four wraps worth), but it does it’s job and means my dog doesn’t have to be confined to a cone.

Durable, but taste didn’t deter chewing
My dog chewed on the bandage so much that it was soaked through, so the taste did not deter him. However, the bandage held up to the chewing and never released. Of course, it couldn’t be left on the wound because it was so wet. The bandage was durable and stuck to itself well, so if your animal doesn’t like the taste then it would be an excellent bandage.

Armors cords against cat chewing
This stuff single-handedly saved my cat from being re-homed. Loves to chew on cables/cords. Spray-on bitter rubs off after a short while, but this stuff obviously does not. I typically cut this in half for larger cables and wrap it around, overlapping the previous layer. For very thin cords, you need even narrower strips. Unfortunately it’s time-consuming to wrap cords with tape, and it’s necessary to do ALL of them. Another downside is that it stays tacky, picking up lint/fuzz. However, have not had a single cord wrapped with this stuff get chewed on after a couple years, so it’s doing a great job.

Doesn’t stick well. I used one roll in a day because it keeps coming off and I have to stick it over and over again. And it’s stillComing off. Tried another brand, sticks all day. And this item took the longest to arrive
