Chicken and rice
The homestyle chicken is good but its still kind of bland for this brand, usually I find peak has better taste than mountain house but this one is the most tasteless of the brand I have tried so far. Still not a bad meal and not gross or poorly made just bland in comparison to the other meals offered by peak.

I love this version of chicken and rice
I wish there were more stars to give. This is called ” Chicken and Rice” which sounds kind of boring. However this version knocks that simple dish out of the park and into space.I try all the things I stock for emergencies before I buy in quantity. Who wants to be stuck in an emergency with food that sucks? I have tried many of the brands and not met a Peak Refuel I didn’t like. What they did to lowly chicken and rice makes it a stand out in my book.

Not great but edible
The peak meals are at least twice as good as the mountain house meals. We took them on our elk hunt in the mountains for the last two years and they are good enough. And if you are picking out meals the chicken ones are much better than the beef ones! Bring some pepper with you

Rare miss for Peak Refuel
Peak Refuel meals are usually pretty good, but this one isn’t. I gave it 3 stars only because the texture of the rice was excellent. However, this meal was so bland. I usually never salt anything, and I don’t pack salt in my kit when I camp. I had to ask my husband to use his salt shaker because the meal had zero flavor. There are other great Peak Refuel meals out there. Skip this one.

Usually Delicious, but this Time Tasteless
This is usually a delicious meal. For some reason there was no sodium in either. These typically are salty meals, and I have had this many times. This purchase both in the pack were so bland my partner and I were so confused and disappointed.
