Improved energy first 4 days!
My 5 year old female tortie has improved energy in the first few days of eating this food. I saw it right away! Her eyes are brighter and she’s jumping around playing like she did when she was a kitten! It’s incredible!Now, 3 weeks in she has definitely lost some weight. I can tell by her stomach and her movement. She needs to lose 3 pounds (a lot for a cat of her size).I’m sticking with this food. She has no upset stomach either. A note – a little bit of this food goes a long way. Be careful not to overfeed. It must keep her feeling fuller longer.I wish I would have found this sooner. The Purina crap made her heavy and she has lipomas. I can only hope those will shrink on this food!I can’t recommend this Merrick product more! I’m going to stick with it and hopefully I’ll be able to post pics and updates!Wishing all your furry friends good health! Adopt don’t shop!

MY CATS LOVE IT
Was looking for a good weight control dry food that wasn’t very expensive. Bought this on prime day never imagining my furry kids would love it. Now it’s $10 more and can’t buy it often. That’s why I only gave it 4 stars.

The vet likes it, and (thankfully) so does the cat
Raleigh has diabetes, so he needs a special food. He also has several brothers and sisters who eat the same food he does. So the food has to be good for them as well. We mix a few different kinds of food together, but Merrick makes up the bulk.Raleigh (and the others) seem to like it. At any rate, the bowls are empty a few hours after I feed them.This food is not cheap ($30/bag), and when I get it from Amazon, it comes in a Petco box. So I’ve started getting it directly from Petco because it’s the same price minus a 5% discount with their version of subscribe & save. It’s no longer available for S&S on Amazon.

Seems To Be Doing Its Job
My cat has been on this food for 4 mths. He is not nearly obsessive about food, is eating less and seems to have lost a little weight (haven’t been to the vet to weigh). But please be aware – it was a pretty rough transition so do it as slow as possible! I don’t think I did it slow enough and he had some diarrhea. But only for about 2 days and he’s been fine ever since!

Only seems to happen with the cat food. But it shows in stock and my back up in stock, yet amazon comes back with your subscribe and save is delayed due to item and back up being out of stock. So don’t ever do subscribe and save with amazon on cat food, because half the time Amazon says out of stock and doesn’t ship it when it actually is IN STOCK.

My picky cats eat it. They currently get Orijen and Acana, but we wanted to add something lower cal in the mix. Much smaller pieces than Orijen or Acana and the ingredients aren’t as nice as the latter, but overall very happy to add this into their feeding regime.

My two cats very much like this brand of dry cat food. They are outdoor feral cats, that are somewhat tame now. I feed them canned cat food or real chicken when I buy it on sale at the grocery store. I always make sure they have some dry food in their bowls at all times. As long as my cats like this brand I will continue to buy it for them.
