The cats were a little afraid of it, but once they realized what it was for, they haven’t been able to peel themselves away.

Works fine, but my cats didn’t learn to use it
This looks very promising, particularly with the variable kibble opening sizes. There’s more variability here tha with others I’ve tried that offered only openings that were too big or too small. On the other hand, there is just one opening, so you have to bat it the right direction. I think smarter cats than mine could get it.I filled it with kibble, and my cats came to check it out. I pushed it toward them, and they turned and left. My bad. They didn’t come back to explore after that, so I have refilled it with catnip, and am just leaving it for a future discovery. The base is a little heavy, to create the uprightness I guess, and pushing that forward might have made it seem scary, I guess. It easily moves, leans one way or the other or moves if pushed. It might hae been user error or it might be my cats aren’t great learners. We play a lot with string, nothing to figure out, so they weren’t really conditioned for getting the idea of do-ot-yourself food.

    Great bedtime snack dispenser
TL;DR: great for snacks for small pups — less exciting than more mobile toys which is great if you need your pup to stay calm while burning some mental energy and want something less easily misplaced.I was a bit skeptical about this treat toy when I ordered it, but it’s actually pretty great! It does, indeed sit upright and wobble. It works fine on carpet, and is tall enough it doesn’t end up under furniture. Our curious, smart pup enjoys it. He doesn’t love it quite as much as the fully round type that he can make zoom around and get under things/lost, of course, but it’s a great back up when his preferred treat ball is lost, or when we need him to calm or settle. I think it’d be a great treat toy for dogs on activity restriction. This dispenser does not hold much, maybe 2 tablespoons, so it likely won’t work as a bowl replacement for most situations and pups. The pup we have that understands treat toys is around 13 pounds, and we mostly use this toy for when he is a little hungry, but needs to burn off some energy and settle down for bed. The max size listed for pieces is .87 inches, our kibble (MyOllie) works just fine. There are sticker labels on the box that blocks a good portion of information, but an instruction sheet is included that covers it.I like that the adjustable hole to increase difficulty adjusts easier than other treat balls we’ve tried. The lid is clear, so it’s easy to see when it’s empty. It’s the one piece of the toy that looks a bit fragile, but so far we haven’t had any problems.

    Engages my food motivated cat
The ball of the toy is weighted and rolls smoothly. The plastic parts on toof the toy seem durable enough… the finish on the one part of the toy is rough and jagged may want to file it down but I do not think it makes the toy unsafe for cats. My cat loves food and was very interested in this toy. He tried to push and then bite the top of the toy. The treats dispense from the toy pretty well but it is more challenging when there are fewer kibble left. The treat compartment may be a bit difficult to clean due to nooks and crannies.

    Paw Of Approval
Anything that will get the furbaby, or in my case furbabies, to play is great. I have three and I am sure that once they figure out this toy, they will be fighting over it.~I like the weight of this toy as it does not move easily across the floor. It stays pretty much in the immediate area unless the pet gives it a hefty whack which would then send it flying.~It is easy to load the treats and/or food into the top. I loaded it with actual cat food which the dog likes too and thinks it is a treat.~There is a hole with a sliding cover to control the food as it comes out. Just move it to the point that it is properly sized to the size of the food. Then the food should be thrown out one at a time.~The colors are nice and will definitely get their attention when they see it on the floor.~It will be a learning curve for Mozart, Mister and Beethoven to learn how to slap the toy to retrieve their “treat”. I will fill it about 30 minutes before meal time since all three are food motivated and know what time is mealtime. I think at that point they will be more motivated to learn how to get to the food by bouncing the toy. That is how I have trained them in the past with other stimulation toys. Once they have learned the procedure, then I will use it only during playtime.~Overall this appears to be a well made toy that will hold up for sometime and I feel that the price is reflective of that.~I can’t speak for Mozart and Mister who are shown in the pictures (Beethoven was off sleeping), but I think they have given their “Paw of Approval”.~UPDATE: My cat Beethoven (not pictured), figured this toy out real quick and now he lays next to it waiting for treats.
