Surprisingly High-Quality Snuffle Mat That Keeps Large Dogs Engaged and Focused
The HOPET Snuffle Mat for large breeds is one of the most thoughtfully designed enrichment tools I’ve added to our routine. Right out of the packaging, the quality stands out. The fabric is thicker and sturdier than expected, with dense stitching that holds up well to paws, claws, and enthusiastic foraging. The 28.3″ x 28.3″ size is genuinely large, giving my dog ample room to search, sniff, and work through the different textures and pockets.The variety of hiding spots is excellent. From deep folds to layered petals to tucked-away pockets, it keeps the challenge interesting and helps slow down fast eaters. The material choice feels deliberate—soft enough for nose work but durable enough to maintain shape after repeated use. After multiple washes, the colors stay bright and the structure remains intact, which is more than I can say for several higher-priced mats we’ve tried.The only minor issue is the suction cups. They work, but on hardwood floors they occasionally give out during more vigorous sessions. It’s not a dealbreaker—placing the mat against a wall or on a rug solves it—but it’s worth noting for dogs that get really into their foraging.What sets this mat apart is how much value it delivers. Comparable snuffle mats marketed by premium brands cost significantly more and often provide fewer hiding spots or thinner material. Keeps my dogs busy
I have four dogs: two 10-year-old, low-content wolf hybrids and two 4-year-old pit bulls. I am always on the lookout for things to keep them happy. Both breeds of dog need a lot of stimulation and my female hybrid will drive me insane if she doesn’t get it. This crossed my feed and was a decent price, so I snagged it for them. They love it. It’s large enough for all four of them to share. It keeps them busy for at least 10 or 15 minutes, which can be a bit of a miracle. They’ll go back and check it periodically to see if I added anything, which reengages them for another few minutes. My only issue with it is that they ripped off pieces within seconds of me putting it down on the ground for the first time. They’ve ripped off four loops and a few flat pieces and I’ve only used it five times. Overall, it has withstood four huge dogs, but the majority of the pieces that the mat lost happened within a minute of me putting it down the first time, which means they were poorly sewn to begin with. Again, though, these are huge dogs, so I only took one star off for the pieces falling off. If it lasts them through the new year, this will be a huge win.Tl:Dr- Some pieces of it will fall off very easily, but my four huge dogs love it. Great for doggie mental stimulation.

Nice toy!
My 3.5 month old puppies love it! 😍It was fun watching them play! It stayed on the floor well. The material is nice and thick. My puppies enjoyed it very much!

Not durable
We loved this mat. It was a great size for our husky and helped slow his feeding down. The different areas made for fun. He always gets super excited when we pull the mat out. The first 2 times we washed the mat, it came out like new and dried quickly. Unfortunately, upon the 3rd washing, the liner ripped and plastic liner from the inside shredded and came out. The mat is still useable for feesings, but cant be waahed now. So I’m on the hunt for a new one. Would recommend if you plan to hand wash or maybe use a garment bag?

Finally wore out my wild pup
I have a 6month old pitbull/aussie mix. He’s a highly intelligent 55lb pup with the energy of a wild boar. His morning zoomies can knock a load bearing wall down in one fail swoop.He recently got neutered and I need to keep him from running for 10 days. I was in deep need of some heightened mental simulations that would wear him out. The snuffle Matt did the trick!! We have other puzzle feeders but they don’t do much to tame his beastly his energy.In all it took him an hour to complete finding 1/2 cup worth of food and treats, and that’s with a little help of his elderly sister. He was engaged the whole time and afterwards he rested for a nice nap. He’s been more settled all day today and as a result is scratching less and chewing less bones. So I would say it tackled some of his anxious habits.My only concern is that he started to really tug at some of the harder to reach parts and I’m concerned he might destroy parts with time. Will follow up after more use.4 month follow up, we use this at least once a week. Both my dogs enjoy it. It takes them 10-20 minutes to find all the morsels. That’s about how long it takes me to load the whole thing up. They have ripped a few pieces loose here and there but overall it holds up.Cons: it’s hard to get it from the table down to the floor without losing some pieces when it’s fully loaded. And I have one dog that grabs the edge of the mat and flings all the treats out.
