My cats thrive on this.
I hate writing reviews on cat food, because I’m not eating it (so far), and my cats can’t spell or type. It smells like cat food. Hill’s is known for the nutritional quality of their foods, and is recommended (and stocked) by every veterinarian I know (several in five different states). When I first got this, it was for a single cat who had problems. The other cats got other less expensive brands of dry food. Then they tasted this, and I began to offer it as treats only for them. Before long they refused the cheap foods, and now all indoor and outdoor cats eat this and all love it and will gripe about other foods. So, my cats love it and it kept the urinary issue in check as long as the oldest cat lived. If I were a cat I would probably tell you more, but being only a poor excuse for a human being, I will say no more except HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

My Cat LOVES This Food and It Really Works!
I switched to Hill’s Science Diet Urinary Hairball Control for my cat a few months ago, and I’ve seen such a positive difference! First of all, she absolutely loves the taste—she runs to her bowl every time it dispenses, which hasn’t always been the case with other foods.I wanted something that would support her health while also helping with hairballs (she’s a long-haired kitty). Since starting this food, no more hairball surprises on the carpet, and her litter box habits have been totally normal and healthy. The kibble size is perfect, and the ingredients seem high quality. I also appreciate that it’s specifically formulated for adult cats 1–6 years old, so I know she’s getting the right nutrition for her age.If your cat has urinary concerns or struggles with hairballs—and is a bit picky like mine—this food is definitely worth trying. It’s made a big difference in her health and happiness!

ONLY product that worked
5.0 out of 5 starsI hate cats, but I love this food (yes, really)I’m going to be brutally honest: I do not like cats. I married a man who came with one, and for the first two years of our marriage I was cleaning up cat puke literally every single day. Random piles on the rug, on the couch, on my brand-new white duvet, once even in my work shoe. I was ready to list the cat on Craigslist (kidding… mostly). We tried everything: different bowls, smaller portions, elevated feeders, hairball gels that taste like malt candy and apparently work for every cat except ours. Nothing helped. The vet finally said, “He’s prone to both hairballs and urinary issues; put him on Hill’s Science Diet Urinary Hairball Control.” I rolled my eyes, dropped $60 on a bag, and figured it would be another waste of money.Three days later the vomiting stopped. Not “slowed down.” Stopped. Cold. It’s been four months now and I have not found a single regurgitated hairball or mystery puddle. The cat still hacks dramatically like he’s auditioning for a drama award, but nothing actually comes up. Magic.Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, the kibble is tiny and he acts like I’m feeding him gourmet crumbs. I don’t care. My floors are clean, my sanity is intact, and I no longer flinch every time I hear that tell-tale retching sound at 3 a.m.So if you’re a reluctant cat co-owner (or full-on cat hater) who just wants the barfing to end, this food is worth its weight in gold. I still don’t like the cat… but I tolerate him a lot more now.Five stars from someone who never thought they’d write a glowing cat-food review. Hill’s, you have my eternal grumpy gratitude.

Cocokitty likes it!
I switched to Hill’s Science Diet Adult 1-6 Urinary Hairball control cat foot from a more pricey Hill’s Science Diet prescribed from my vet, unfortunately with prices these days I couldn’t fit the one from my vet in the budget. But I researched online and this was a decent replacement. My cat loved in right away and she is picky with all food, even wet cat food. She is 12 years old and will eat this. I have noticed less hairballs. But as far as the Urinary control and kidney health, she is healthy according to the vet and I think she’s doing just fine when compared to the prescription version.

Multifaceted food and picky eaters accept
Seems decent enough they all like it. I have incorporated multiple items more wet food in their diet and calming care powder too so can’t tell a direct response of no urinary issues for example but so fair no issues. But this helps with urinary for one cat hairballs for the others and kcals aren’t ridiculous for my choonky one.

My 2 cats LOVE this kibble. They recently stopped eating their usual brand, so I figured I’d give Hills a shot.PRO: My cats seem to be in a better mood just before and after eating it, when compared to the other brands I’ve tried for them. They will eat almost anything, but with this kibble they actually seem to look forward to it/enjoy it more than just to appease an empty tummyCON: A little more Expensive than averageTAKE NOTE: The size of the kibble is slightly larger than averageAs for the hairball aspect of this food, neither of my cats had a problem with that (yet), so I cant say one way or the other if it helps cats that do

My cat if weird he likes to rip off big chunks of his fur and walk around the house with it hanging off his mouth. The daily routine consist of me running after him and trying to pry those big chunks out of his mouth before he just munches on it and swallow them all that while looking at me straight in the eyes. This will eventually lead to a couple of days later the inevitable throwing up of the said swallowed fur. Since I switched to this food. no more throwing up hairballs. But I still do the daily chases just because we love it.

Dont believe the negative reviews saying it is not suitable for Indian cats. All my 11 Indian cats and the cats who come to my house are eating this and they absolutely love this as well. Some cats may hesitate at first but you gotta go slow with them by mixing it with their old food, bu they will surely love it once they get used to it. My cats have gained healthy weight and better coat and less fur fall after they start eating this. Definitely go for it.

My cat likes this good. It seems to do the job. No fur balls.

It’s the best for a reason. My cats do wonderfully on this brand so I stick with it. It’s also what all vets recommend, so why not?
