Great dog nail trimmers, have them almost a year seem to work perfect. Like the guard so I don’t cut too far on his nails.

A quality of life tool for you and your pets
I just recently got a couple of fuzzy little cats. I’m new to this whole thing, to be frank. After awhile, those cat claws were getting so long they were catching on everything! Finally got the nerve to do some nail clipping, and oh gosh is it a quality of life improvement for both of us!I think these are great. I felt like they were easy to use, and it made me a lot less nervous about the whole deal. I know with cats, you gotta be careful not to clip too high! I worry too about accidentally catching their paw or something too.As simple as these are though, I thought they were just perfect for making a clean clip, and for keeping the surrounding areas safe and from accidentally catching in the clipping jaws. Lastly, there’s a little flip cover thing that obstructs the hole/clip path, so you can swing it down as kind of a length stop. I’m not sure if that was the intended purpose, but it has helped me to keep from clipping the nail too far up, and I like that!So my recommendation? Totally. If you’ve got pets, you should have a good clipper like this… and a brush! Don’t forget the brush, haha.

These work for my 2 large dogs. However, these probably work better for small to medium dogs. They work. But steonger clippers work better. That said, I think the dogs have hidden the other 2 pairs of good nail clippers. They are smarter than they look.

Gets the job done
I personally don’t LOVE that these specific nail trimmers have a small guard on the front of them that can sometimes make seeing where I am trimming difficult, but! These do get the job done and feel well made. I’ve used them a few times now and find the grip to be quite comfortable – granted I am an able bodied 20 year old. These are on the smaller side, so if you struggle with mobility or grip issues then I would look elsewhere. Otherwise, great purchase and well worth the money.

I really appreciate the power and clean lines that these clippers provide. Clipped edges have no ragged edges, and much more powerful and simple than human toenail clippers. Very good product.

Imagine cat’s paw vertically with claws to the side. The opinions vary on YouTube if the cat’s claw should be cut with the cutter parallel or perpendicular to the ground. With a human you always cut parallel to the ground. The manual has no opinion. It only shows the plane along which to cut, not the exact cutter position on this plane. There is this annoying plastic lock on the tool. I hold the cat by its paw. I trim one claw. And then the plastic locks the tool closed. I have to let the cat’s paw loose, open the tool, catch the cats paw again and do a second claw. Without this plastic I could be done in 20% of the time it takes now. I used to spent $20/month for professional claw trimming. Now I do it myself.
