Don’t purchase these for your DOGS!
I bought these to help tracker my dogs if they escape from my property. I had it on only a few days before it broke off. I was able to fix it and placed it back on them. A week goes by and now there completely broken and cant fix. I also cant return them. Very upset. I wouldn’t recommend this item to anybody. I know have to find a better GPS tracker for my dogs which will now cost me more $$$$.

Ring that attaches it is not strong enough. Was pulled off the first day.other that that it works as it shiuld.

This tag is not accurate it keeps putting my dog at another address a few streets over. When she’s at our home. It’s very poorly constructed

Android Phones with MyTag use Apple FindMy Netork
This tracker is unique. It works with either Android phones or Apple phones, but with either, uses only the IOS network to locate the tag. It does not use the Google FindHub App that other Android only tracking devices rely on. Instead it uses its own special App called the MyTag app, which allows an Android phone to take advantage of the more developed Apple crowd-sourced FindMy Network. What makes the Apple Network better than the Google FindHub is that every Apple device, by default, is capable of reporting a location, whereas Android phones aren’t capable unless that ability is allowed in the phone settings. Furthermore, even if the Android’s find function were allowed, the Google Hub requires at least 2 Android phones to confirm the tag’s location. That’s why MyTag by-passes the Google FindHub, and uses only the Apple MyFind Hub, but it means it will use only Apple phones to find your MyTag. (Theoretically, the Google Hub should work better with 80 percent of smart phones being Android, but since the Android find function must be user activated, there are fewer Android phones available to find your) Furthermore, only a single Apple phone will be needed to report the tag’s location, instead of at least two Android find capable phones.If you own an Android phone, you can take advantage of both networks by adding an additional Android only tracker to your dog’s collar, which will use the Google FindMy Network. Having both networks working to locate your dog, increases the chances that your tag will be spotted sooner, either by an Apple phone, or by Android phone, depending on which is in the vicinity of your dog. Of course, if you are using two trackers on different networks, you will need to check the Google FindHub App as well as the MyTag app to see which tag locates your dog sooner.Now, if you have an Apple phone, I see no reason to buy a MyTag tracker for your dog. I would just put an AirTag on your dog’s collar. It uses the superior Apple MyFind App, which uses the FindMy network directly, unlike the MyTag which uses the MyTag app.I subtracted a star for this tracker for two reasons. The activation and setup of this tracker is a bit cumbersome. It requires you to enter a 10 digit authorization code printed on the tag’s package. You’r out of luck if you lost it and needed to install the tag on a different phone. In addition, the sound emitted by the tag is very muted and very difficult to hear even when close to it. Even under 15 meters, when your own phone’s Bluetooth connection should find the tag directly, it didn’t work well for me. Having an Android phone, I really didn’t care so much about that. I just wanted this tracker, as an backup, to find my dog should she somehow run away.Here was my only test. While walking our dog, I could see both the dogs location and my wife’s because her Apple IPhone reported it.
