Just let your animal go on the floor. The same effect will be achieved. The absorbent material serves only to spread the mess over a larger area, and then direct it through the inexplicably porous bottom layer and onto the floor! Before you say, “maybe you put it down upside down,” NO I DIDN’T! Do you want to know how I know? I tried it both ways! The blue layer only becomes waterproof when it’s on the top side! The pet mess rolls right off and onto the floor. I had to check to make sure this wasn’t a prank product, because if it was, … 5 STARS! GREAT PRANK PRODUCT. Useless if you actually have an incontenent pet.

Absolutely will Buy again…
First…the price is perfect for me on a tight budget. I live in Florida on Pine Island and the bugs, fire ants, mosquitos and roaming coyotes prevent me from letting my dogs “Go” outside. I have 2 dogs. Shi Tsu and large English Springer. I have been using cloth pee pads for years thinking they would be more practical and cost effective. I was doing washing every day on these. I just figured out that the electricity, detergent and water usage was really amping up the cost. So I switched to these. So the cost of these was such a benefit.Cons: They do leak. I can’t imagine putting these on the couch or bed. I put them on tile and after picking these up I just mop the leaked area. However, the price overrides the leak. And my Springer is a large (170#) dog. I stay at home so it’s no biggie for me. But if I were to go away all day I would never put these on a hardwood floor or carpet…let alone a bed. I try to stay on top of it.Would I buy them again? Without question YES…for my needs.
