Quiet, & doesn’t dull, but leaves dusty mess
I’ve really enjoyed using this nail grinder. I was hesitant as the grinder is metal and I worried that the grinder part would get hot. I was pleasantly surprised that after long periods of time, it did NOT get hot. My dog’s nails got pretty long and I probably used it for a good 35 minutes. #1, it didn’t get hot and #2, it didn’t die! What’s great about the drill grinder being metal is it doesn’t dull easily. I’m sure it will over time, but not like the paper file grinders.The noise level was impressive. It didn’t scare my dog at all and she laid there quietly the whole time. I really like the light as well to see the nail easier and looking for that “dot” in their nail. On her white nails, the light allowed me to actually see into her nail and I could see how far I could grind. It really was a game changer..I do wish it offered a few different speeds. I also wish there was a nail dust catcher to catch the nail dust. I ended up with nail dust all over my lap. Top of the grinder also needs a cap top to hide the spinning action. At certain angles, the spin part tangled my dog’s hair into the device. I had to stop and carefully pull out the hair.Overall, I still like it than others I’ve used and will continue to use it.

Good quality/ relatively quiet
This nail grinder is quieter however my dog still had some anxiety with it; its a softer sound than older versions. A dog with less anxiety would definitely do better. It has 3 different ways to grind the nails depending on the size of the dog. The top comes off easy to expose the whole grinder. It lasts for many uses before needing to be recharged. What I really like is that it doesn’t break or damage the nail.
