Our cats love it!
I live in a desert climate, but our winter nights get cold. This heating pad works perfectly to keep our two elderly cats warm and happy during the cold snaps. It is large enough that they both can curl up peacefully together, which is not something they typically do. The fact they are willing to forgo past grievances to co-exist on this heating pad speaks volumes! It has a timer that allows me to choose the length of time it is on, and I can adjust the temperature easily as well. It is a great addition to our home.

Keeps my clowder warm
We have several cats who like to lay on a heating pad while they sleep at night. I bought the largest one (47″ x 30″) thinking it has room to accommodate at least three of them at the same time; it does. My only complaint (it’s a tiny one) is that even at the lowest temperature setting (80°), it’s still pretty warm under the pad. I even bought a large self-warming pad to try to insulate this heating pad from the bed underneath but the heat continues to radiate through.That little minus aside, the control is easy to operate to set the temperature and duration it’s on. What might be a bit confusing is that when you’re done with selecting and changing the temp or time, you just let the control time out (it takes about 5 seconds with the display blinking). Each time it turns off, it does forget the last temperature and duration that was set so if you need something other than the default (120° and 12 hours), you need to change it.

wow what a lifesaver! i been using a human heat pad, jumping out of sleep every few hours to check the heat on my little bird or if it’s even on! sometimes waking to a completely cold pad and poor little bird huddling down best she can. i cannot be more satisfied it just arrived yesterday and last night we both slept right through the night, no little peeps or squeaks did she make and i didn’t need to add towels to layer and buffer the high heat or cover the top to keep heat in. and 80 is perfect for her to stay warm. so far works well! ty

Great Heating Pad, But SLOW delivery process!
GREAT heating pad!!!! One thing I do have to say is that the delivery date was a few days off from what it showed in the order section. Other than that, great heating pad. It’s big, soft, and keeps the newborn puppies warm.

There is NO Thermostat
There is NO ThermostatI was really excited to get this pad, because it supposed to have everything I needed.Before giving it to my cat I decided to verify that the “Smart Thermostat” is working.I put the temperature sensor at the center of the Pad and put thermal insulation under and above to prevent the heat losses.Then I set Thermostat to different temperatures and measured the power draw.I expected it to be the same, but it was changing.Results:Temperature Power80F 10W90F 14W100F 17W110F 20W120F 24W130F 27WThen for each temperature setting I was leaving setup for some time for the temperature to stabilize.And it was stabilizing, but at ~130F.It looks, like the pad has the over-temperature protection, set to 130F, but no actual thermostat.In the real-world use, when the pad is not covered (or no cat is present), the temperature will change due to the different power applied, but there is no temperature control.Conclusion – I am returning the pad because 130F is too high for the cat comfort.

It works great. I got the biggest one because I had a feeling all my pets would pile up on top of it and the did! 2 cats and 2 small dogs.

Very good deal. Pretty. Not sure about chew resistance.This is a 36W heater not a 50W heater though.
