Dog sits up and loves it!
This comb is very slow but very enjoyable for the dog. We used this on our golden retriever and unlike some of the other brushes, this one has teeth so short that they never actually touch her skin. I think she really liked that. Might be slightly less effective as a result, but if you like to just spend time with your dog and give her a nice brush this works great. Might not be so good on a VERY furry dog, but worked great for us.Build quality is pretty good. There’s a weird circular knob on this one that doesn’t seem to do anything. No instructions so I have no idea really. Handhold is maybe a little odd shaped, but I prefer it to a handle.The most important thing is that when I bring this comb out the doggo sits up and looks very happy. And really that’s all that matters. That and the deshedding.

It gets the excess hair off my cat.
Pay very close attention to the video and the pictures as this is not a standard animal brush as we know it.The ‘brush’ part is more like a comb in that it has a single row of tines. Those tines are a bit sharp so I’ve been very careful using this on my cat although the cat does not seem to mind one bit.I did get quite a bit of loose hair off the cat. I looked at it and thought nice, one hairball less to deal with.There is what looks like a wheel in the middle and it looks like a spinning wheel or something that should turn but it does not and I have no idea what it is for.The grip is good and non slip, that part is really good in my humble opinion.So in the end, it looks like a comb with very short tines and a giant non slip grip.I really hesitated here between 3 and 4 stars but in the end, it does remove the excess hair and that’s the most important part after all.
