It doesn’t look bland or artificial, which is a good sign for me. When it comes to chewability, it’s excellent for a small dog. The kibble pieces are perfectly sized – tiny and not too hard, so he doesn’t struggle to crunch them. This is crucial because I worry about him choking or not being able to manage larger pieces. My dog is super picky, and with Cesar, he absolutely devours it. He gets so excited when he sees the tray! I’m satisfied for my dog’s needs. While I know it’s it does list real meat as a primary ingredient in most of their recipes, which is important to me. As for digestibility, this is where Cesar truly shines for my dog. He has a sensitive stomach sometimes, but I’ve noticed very consistent results with Cesar. His stools are firm, and he doesn’t experience any upset tummy or excessive gas after eating it. I got this for my small dog, who is an older chihuahua who is missing some teeth. She LOVES this food & it is so much easier for her chew. My bigger do, who is a medium/large black lab-border collie mix with all of her teeth also LOVES this food. She snubs her former favorite food & waits for me to put this in the bowl. I like the 12-lb. bag as it is a lot of food, but not so big & heavy that it’s hard to lift, move, & pour. Price on Amazon is better than the price at the stores around me.

If I had done my research I would not have purchased this product. The particular product has been discontinued. There were problems and it made dogs sick. Plus the price of 60 bucks. Holy moly. It’s priced this high because it’s discontinued and will not be sold in any pet stores. The dogs enjoyed it for sure but I won’t be purchasing ever again.
