Good product, great ingredients, our cats love it.
We started with Blue Buffalo Chicken for indoor cats after our 2 kittens turned 1 years. They can graze on it all day whenever they are hungry and they love it. We also feed each of them a quarter of a container of Costco’s wet Cat Pate both morning and night.

My cats love this brand
My cats are very picky eaters and blue buffalo has always been a very reliable cat food. They love this and it never makes them sick like other brands do. I think it’s very fairly priced and I definitely recommend this brand.

Great product and handy resealable bag!
Quick delivery. My cats coat is smooth and sleek. Covers all necessary daily nutritional values. Easy close bag keeps food fresh for weeks at a time.

No picky eaters
Amazon tells me I have repurchased the 11 lb bag of this cat food 17 times, and I’m not surprised. (I’ve also purchased it at the pet store, when I let it get too close to running out and 2 days’ shipping would take too long.) I bought it for years for my senior cat, and when we got two more cats last year, they also both took to it very well. All of them have beautiful shiny coats and are healthy and active. It seems to be a great size for them (although they do chew and I find the pulverized dust in the bottom of the bowl and have to toss it out every so often.) I haven’t tested it with toppers or mixing with wet food, I usually serve those separately as a treat, but all three cats love this brand and eat it daily.

Too high calorie for typical indoor cats, but very high quality and good growth on kittens. Recommend the weight control formula
At first we really liked this food. We had previously been using a denatured protein prescription food for all our cats because one of our cats had some chronic illnesses that required it. After he passed away in Nov 2017, we switched to Blue Buffalo Wilderness Adult Indoor Chicken. We saw a nice difference in our remaining cats’ fur quality right away – fluffier, thicker, softer. After a few months we started noticing our cats’ faces looking a little plump, and then the body on our 5 y/o female started getting rounder. On vet visits their weights were up by over 1 lb each from the previous year (these are cats who are between 4 and 5 years old). I think this food is just a little too high calorie for a typical indoor cat who plays with toys, climbs the occasional cat tower and stretches/sharpens claws, cuddles, and sleeps on a bed. We will be switching to the weight control to see if we can shed 1/2 a lb on each kitty. The other – probably coincidental – thing is that my 14 year old Maine Coon started losing some weight after we switched to this food, and started having sniffles about a month after the switch, which my vet said was due to some physiologic stress going on in her body. We did not think about the food switch playing a role (particularly because Blue Buffalo is such a high quality food). Four months after the switch, we noted on her vet visit/scale that she had lost some weight. We did some watchful waiting and re-weighed her within 3 months. She lost 1.5 lbs in those 3 months. We did her lab bloodwork and everything came back perfect so she has been diagnosed with GI cancer. I choose not to do a biopsy or put her under that stress but the vet is 99% certain it is a GI lymphoma or adenocarcinoma. So, it may just be age and coincidence, or the change from the previously denatured protein diet to this, but she is now undergoing a last ditch prednisolone treatment to see if her weight and symptoms improve. It may also just be related to her increased risk for cancer in old age. We will be continuing to use BB.We also adopted some new kittens after fostering a family. We adopted 2 of the kittens after the foster job was done, and they grow like WEEDS on this food and are very active. We initially had them on the BB wilderness dry kitten food but the adult food has plenty of what they need to grow. They have hit almost 4 months of age and one of them is already 5.5 lbs and the other is 4.2 lbs (with no supplements or human food, and they only get 3-4 treats a week that are 2 calories apiece). I have never seen kittens grow this fast! While it is nice, we will still be switching to the weight control formula near the end of our most recent shipment to prevent them becoming overweight.Bottom line: If you have indoor cats that are just so-so in activity, I would recommend not using this high of a calorie food (adult indoor chicken wilderness).

thank god for blue buffalo!
i’ve been feeding my cats blue buffalo for years… it’s a great company, and in my opinion, one of the best cat foods out there. A while back one of my girls passed away… and eventually I got a new kitten, he’s a maine coon so he needs a high protein diet. My my short haired calico kept eating his royal canin kitten food, and he was eating her blue buffalo… I tried everything I could to get them to not eat each other’s food, but it was much harder than I thought to do that. (they don’t have set feeding times with their dry food, they just have food out all the time) Then I discovered that blue buffalo has a wilderness line for cats like maine coons who need a high protein diet. I did some research and found out that it would be more harmful to have him not on a high protein diet…whereas my calico won’t be affected if she is on one. So I switched to this line for both. My next challenge was making sure he was getting the kitten food so he gets all the nutrients he needs to thrive and that my 6 year old gets the adult food with the nutrients she needs to thrive… again, this was easier said than done so I just mixed the two of them. I don’t know if this is 100% the best option in the world, but it’s all I could figure out to make sure they were both getting the essentials that they need and since it’s the same brand that my 6 year old has had her whole life, it was an easy switch and since my maine coon a kitten and is pretty recently on solid foods, it was nothing to switch him over to this line too. They both love it. I also got wet food cans. The wet food is much easier to separate so he got the kitten and she got the adult and I guess we lived happily ever after. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ lol if they’re happy and getting the essentials they need to be healthy and thrive then I’m happy. Thanks to blue buffalo, I was able to figure this out which works best for us and it’s only for the next few months or so anyway before they’ll both be on the same adult food. There’s no smell, the price is inexpensive for the quality of the product, and neither of my cats have thrown up or had any issues in the litter box. This is important because my calico throws up like once a week from eating too fast even though she has a slow feeder. She’s been eating it for two days and hasn’t thrown up yet…crossing my fingers!!

The only cat food I trust
My cat loves it. Give my cat a great coat shine with good nutrition. Natural ingredients, my cat loves the taste and won’t eat anything else. Makes scooping litter easier with no diarrhea you get with the cheap brands.

Happy with it
My cats love this and can’t get enough of it. It is costly but worth it. My cats seem very happy with it.
