Get it!! Loved by active and lazy elderly cats alike!
I have a very VERY active young cat (was a kitten when I got this, still a ball of energy now) that absolutely loves to get into anything and everything. I also have a sweet elderly cat that isn’t interested in most toys (would rather bat at something once and call it a day). Both of them love this treat maze! I’ve had this for roughly two years now and it still remains a favorite for both of them!! I only use it for putting treats in and not having it out all the time to keep it more special. They both seem equally engaged with it, it isn’t too hard to fit paws in for my elder cat with arthritis, and it holds up to the chunky young adult (12ish pounds) that likes to play aggressively with his toys. He can drag it halfway across the room and the top doesn’t come off. In fact, usually it stays mostly in place, it will move a little bit especially when they’re both working on the same side, but unless he’s going all out it’ll stay in the general area I put it. If it was just my elder cat, I’m sure it would stay where I put it down. I have also accidentally kicked it a couple times and absolutely nothing happens to it.The quality of it is great. I love that I can customize the inside maze part and I think they enjoy having it change from time to time for a new challenge. It isn’t super hard for them, but also not too easy and boring. Usually they’ll get the easy treats out first in just a couple minutes, and then they’ll be working at the hard to get to spots for a while. It will entertain them for at least 15 minutes, sometimes up to a half hour.Literally my only downside to this is on occasion a treat gets stuck and wedged under one of the maze walls. It’s not that big of a deal, easy to dig out with a hand, but the cats are not able to get a wedged treat out no matter how long they work at it. (But hey, if you want your cat to stay busy for a long while just wedge a treat haha)It cleans easy. All the maze walls can be taken out and the base is a hard plastic with the green part being a thick rubber sort of material. Some soap and water and it’s all clean, no spots for treats to get lost in and attract unwanted pests.I would recommend for any cat, active or not (this is one of the few toys that my elder cat wants to play with), and as long as they like treats they’ll like this. It does a wonderful job at being an interactive toy for them.

Took a while, but he mastered it eventually.
This is a great device to slow down your cat’s eating and give them a challenge. It took almost a year for my cat to master it. We started on the easy level and now have added all of the attachments. He learned that he could lick his paw to have the food stick to his paw. Move it over to an opening.Certainly gives him a lot of activity and stimulates his brain. Don’t give up on your cat. They will eventually figure it out.

This was nice at first but now the pieces don’t all stay in properly.

    A hit for Honey
I have a rescue kitty that is part Savannah. Therefore, she has a very high prey drive and is highly intelligent, getting bored and depressed when she has nothing to stimulate her brain. I bought this for her and she LOVES it!We also have her sister, who is out of a different father. So while both have the Maine Coon from momma, sis has more Persian/HImalayan than the Savannah that Honey has. As a result, Sis prefers to just stick her nose in the bowl and eat–forget about the games! But even with a bowl down and available, Honey will go to her puzzle feeder and play with trying to get food out of it.The fact that you can rearrange/remove/add obstacles is nice as it helps to keep her thinking with new challenges occasionally. She really enjoys that and feels better with something to challenge her mentally. The whole thing is plastic and easy to clean. The lid does allow for kibble to fall down in between the walls and the lid though, so every couple of days you have to remove the lid and clean up all the old kibble that has fallen down where she cannot reach it. Maybe that is something they should rethink and come up with a different way of seating the lid to prevent kibble loss.It does stick pretty well to the tile floor, although she can move it when she pushes against it to try and get to the pieces that have fallen down between the lid and outer wall. It has never flipped over though, even when a 16 pound kitty running full tilt has lost footing on the tile floor and slid into it, knocking it a couple of feet away.Overall, it is a big hit with the kitty. She loves it and it keeps her happy, challenged, and occupied. That makes me happy, along with the easy clean up. Good price and good value for the price. If you have a smart kitty who is easily bored because they are not challenged enough, I would definitely recommend this as a try. If you have a porky pig like her sister who prefers to just stick her nose in the bowl and not come up for air until the bowl is clean, then perhaps not so much.

    Broken within a month
My two cats finally got the hang of this puzzle and were enjoying it as enrichment for the cold month. We haven’t even had it a month yet and it has already broken. The suction cups never really held it down and they knocked it off the counter, which broke the lid. Even without falling they were able to get the lid off as it doesn’t attach very well. With some minor adjustments this would be worth the investment. However, Given its price and how many other people have had similar issues I wouldn’t recommend it.

Still used after 3 years of owning it
I have had this item for 3 years. When I got it, I had 2 cats the same age. One absolutely loved it and was very good at getting food out even with a difficult setup. The other cat used it occasionally but preferred to play with humans. I now have a 4 month old kitten and I just introduced him to it. It was so fun to watch. For those whose cats aren’t interested, I suggest trying when they are hungry. And make it easy. I even removed most of the pegs and left lid off for one cat to get used to it. I would feed his meals to him this way so he associated it with food. That cat only enjoys it occasionally but it’s nice to have it as an option. (My other adult cat passed away earlier this year unfortunately). I hope to see the kitten get much use from it.

Keeps my cat entertained! I started with only a few pieces of the puzzle in, but now he navigates through the full thing with ease! I think this actually helped my cat gain better dexterity in his paws lol

My boy loves this maze! He’s kept occupied for about 15 – 20 minutes trying to fish out all the treats and he cries for me to add treats to it when he wants a little something, something. I love that you can change the configuration of the mazes for extra challenges and to keep him on his toes … er … paws. Terrific enrichment toy and I definitely can recommend it.

both my cat and dog so nuts for this.there are two gates you can add/remove to change difficulty, though i’ve literally never touched them, and the top comes off for easy cleaning. keeps them well engaged. this is also offered in a circular design

My cats love this feeder puzzle! It’s never boring since you can move the pieces around and increases/decrease the difficulty. It keeps them busy for much longer and it tires them out cause they have to really work for their food / treat. My biggest problem with this puzzle feeder however, is the base of the tray is some kind of silicone material. As my cats paw and reach for their food, they scratch the base of it and it ends up making huge claw marks and shredded green silicone all throughout it. As that makes it a great place for bacteria to live and grow, it really isn’t ideal.I wash it everyday before they use it, but it’s still not safe long term.

I was sent the fish by mistake and decided to set it up anyway. My two cats are absolutely enthralled. They’ve spent the last hour figuring out how to get every single treat from all the nooks and crannies. I thought the fish design would be too easy for them but it’s not! Can’t wait for the harder, classic design to arrive. The harder maze arrived and they both love that one too. Within a few days, they figured out the fish and have no trouble getting the treats. They’re getting good at the harder maze now too but it still takes them a while to get every one out. One cat purrs continually while playing with these. He likes it!
