100% the real deal!
Perfect heat for me. Also great texture and flavor. Just the right amount of dryness to let you pull it apart pretty easily. Yes salty, but that’s as I expect real jerky to be. High-quality beef. I don’t know how it could be any better!

This is how beef jerky is supposed to be. Dry, tough and delicious.So many “jerky” companies want a soft tender product. If you want soft and tender, go eat a steak. Because that’swhat you want, not beef jerky.I also appreciate that this is not made with sugar. Another element that ruins good beef jerky. If you want soft and you want sweet, try a snickers. Jerky shouldn’t be made with a bucket of sugar.If you appreciate an old fashioned, properly made REAL jerky, then this here is your Huckleberry. 😉

Not good. Too dry and salty.
I usually buy the slabs which are DELICIOUS!!!!! Probably some the best beef jerky I’ve ever had. But this time I decided to try some of their other options and got this. This beef jerky is NOT good. It was too dry and overly salty. Very disappointed, especially since beef jerky is a pretty expensive snack compared to other stuff. I’ll be sticking to the slabs in the future. I got this and also the Carne Seca Chipotle beef jerky. Both were the same type of bad, although the Carne Seca was at least a little less dry and salty. I’m pretty confused as to how this product can be so completely different from the slabs. The slabs are SOOOOO GOOD. Almost too good, cause I go through the bag so quickly. These two I don’t even really want to eat.

Usually i never post any reviews but have to review this because of so many bad rating.This is for those looking for the real beef jerky instead of the low quality chemically flavored sweet mushy stuff🤮. It’s clear that those people expecting the generic convenient store quality jerky complaining about this good stuff. It is dry salty spicy and delicious 😋

Not bad but unique texture
The jerky taste good and it seems to be sugar free. I would say its medium (only hot ingredient is crushed red pepper). very minimal ingredients in this which is good. The meat is also not ground and reformed. Its actual cuts of meat about 3/8 thick. However this is the first jerky I had that’s crunchy like a chip. I really like hard leather like jerky usually the chewier the better for me. This stuff is NOT really chewy its so dry it crumbles and crunches when you bight it. I was expecting something more tough and leathery but this is more like a bag of beef meat chips. its not horrible but not what i was expecting. i would recommend to try to try this product in a small batch than spending 30 on the big bag. I’m a little disappointed but the stuff taste good I do wish it was hotter and somehow tougher and less crunchy though.

Not Particularly Spicy But Delicious!
My taste buds know spicy; they love spicy! So I was a bit disappointed to find out that the spice level here was . . . bland to me. That’s not to say it’s not tasty. It is definitely tasty that but spice, heat? It’s limited. For those with little tolerance for hot foods it may be but for those of us who seek out hot and spicy, well, that part will disappoint. So with reluctance I reduced my rating by one star for a promise I felt it didn’t keep.Other than that, though, this is a top item. The blend of spices (and maybe herbs) used produces a complex taste sensation. I could not discern any particular flavor which means there is no overwhelming taste of one or perhaps two things. You taste the flavored meat and it’s absolutely delicious but you will not find yourself saying, “It has soy sauce” or “It has a hint of liquid smoke.” Or, worse, brown sugar, a common ingredient in many jerkys, dominates. Not here, thankfully. Absolutely no sugar. Yay! (I loathe savory items that are sweet such as teriyaki.)This jerky is not like others I have eaten; it bites through easily without you having to use your teeth to rip it apart. It chews with just the right amount of bite. It is taking all my effort to make this large bag last as long as possible because my inclination is to devour it. But no, I intend to stretch it out. It also won’t get shared. Because jerky is expensive to make and to buy, I’ll keep this for myself alone. It may be a bit selfish–but I paid for it.Very highly recommended!

The way jerky is supposed to be
This is some of, if not, the best beef jerky I’ve ever had. It’s the way jerky is supposed to be: dry and fibrous. Only about 1% of the jerky on the market is like this, and it’s the real deal. The previous best jerky I’d had was from a local health food store in Richmond, VA that was made in house, but I don’t live there anymore and they stopped making it. The next closest is the No Man’s Land jerky, but this is better in my opinion.You might see the 3.8 review average and second guess it, but that’s because people are so used to the mass produced “jerky” like Jack Links or the other wet, translucent, garbage that’s in most gas stations across America. People just aren’t used to real jerky.I got my first 1 pound bag last week and finished it in two days, which was fiscally irresponsible, but it’s just too good. I immediately ordered more and got two more bags yesterday and am already halfway through my second bag. I have to slow down before I go bankrupt, but I’ll probably never spend money trying other jerky again, because I’ve found what I want. I’ve been searching for this since I moved to Montana and I’ve found my forever jerky. I don’t usually write reviews, but this stuff deserves to have the record set straight. 3.8 stars is a joke. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. This is the best thing to come out of LA since Magic Johnson.Don’t listen to the plebeians with no taste. McDonald’s is the most popular restaurant in America, doesn’t make it good..
