Scalers work well
I have just gotten my tarter cleaning kit and immediately started with the spray, my dog was a little surprised but didn’t seem to mind at all. The brushes are a good size and I like that it gets the inside of the tooth and the outside at the same time. My dog is tiny, like 8 lbs so it’s hard to get in there at those back teeth. I had started noticing a line of greenish tarter at the gum line of his maxillary teeth and felt so bad! I’m a hygienist so I knew I was definite dropping the ball. I’m too impatient to wait for the tarter spray to start working so I went in there with the scaler/tarter scraper and he actually let me scrape pretty much all the tarter off. It came off fairly easily and I followed up with the tarter spray. I took one pics but they didn’t turn out great because his teeth are so tiny and hard to get at haha.

Now we are dog dentists
I have 5 little dogs so I do everything. I can do to save myself from having to go to a groomer all of the time. The kit is a wonderful kit. And I’m not complaining about any purchase with it. My dogs on the other hand are not happy with it. I introduced them to dentistry too late.

great but could use better packing
The metal tools were about to fall out of the box. I am happy that the kit had all the tools needed to start cleaning my dogs teeth and are easy to use. I will say there is no instructions for the metal tools so please be careful as you could really harm your dog if you don’t know what you are doing

Scraping tools work on dogs’ teeth
I have a yellow lab and a corgi who are both getting on in years. I used the scraper tools from this kit to scrape the brown hard junk from their teeth. You have to be kind of careful to not scrape the enamel off the teeth with these tools, but luckily the Dogs’ tooth enamel is stronger than the plaque and tartar so it is possible to remove the tartar without damaging the dogs teeth. I gave this four stars instead of five because I just couldn’t get the toothbrushes to work on the dogs. They wouldn’t allow me to brush their teeth with the toothbrushes.

Great value- good tools
These are great little tools- We gave our spaniel something to calm him down, but we managed to scratch all his tartar off! Saves very expensive trips to the vet- Toobrushes are also this great grab shape, perfect for dogs’ teeth.

Brushes are Small
Brushes were too small for a medium sized dog. The length of the brush base could be longer. I do like the split base so get the outside edges of the molars.
